Carla Gonzalez-Hart
Carla is a prop stylist specializing in tabletop and botanical styling. Carla grew up in the Washington D.C. metro area and studied art history in college. She made her way to New York and began her career in tabletop styling and market editing at Gourmet magazine. Later she worked at Martha Stewart Living and Country Living before launching her freelance styling career.
She is inspired by how images communicate a story. Her background in visual literacy trained her to see the hierarchy of an image to identify its most vital aspects and taught her how to examine how images fit into the greater scope of media and messaging in our daily lives. Carla loves working with botanicals and adores a flower with mystery and drama like a hellebore. Good design always makes her happy, and the table is her favorite place to play with well designed elements.
She lives in New York City with her husband and daughter.
