Hans Blomquist

Hans' story began in Älmhult, Sweden were he at the age of 16 started to work as a graphic designer at IKEA. A few years later he became the art director for the IKEA catalouge. After a few years working his way up to a senior art director position at IKEA he moved to London and was the senior art director for the home catalouges of Marks & Spencer and John Lewis. After a few years Hans became his on and has since the been a freelance art director and stylist for many companies around the globe. He is the author of 4 interior books published by Ryland Peters and small in the UK. His last book Inspired by nature is his first book where he was doing it all on his own being the photographer, stylist and art director.

Hans' style is inspired by nature, natural elements and being very personal and staying away from perfection. Good styling and art direction is all about being open and let things just happen without over thinking and letting the creativity flow naturally.
